LAB-DAY1 Introduced to basic lab equipments. An autoclave is a device used to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to high pressure saturated steam at 121 °C for around 15–20 minutes...
3
LAB-DAY2 Prepration of the CaCl2 + MgCl2 solution used to create competent cell so that plasmid can be introduced into the cell.
4
LAB-DAY3 Autoclave of equipments. Prepared 70% v/v alcohol solution, that will be used sterlizing in future before starting the other process in the experiment. Ecoli bacteria will be cultured under incubator in a test tube containing LB(lysogeny broth).
5
PROGRESS IN OTHER AREAS We have been divided into two teams and are studying previous igem project to get the sense of how and what they will do to participate in igem2015. PROJECT INCLUDE: use of biofilm for water treatment and ways to sort bacteria with choices of light sources
6
PROGRESS IN OTHER AREAS An overview of techniques such as Gibson Assembly,PCR. Introduced to Holliday Junction.
7
FUTURE AIM Prepration of competent cell Standard heat-shock transformation of chemically competent bacteria Culture transformed cell in proper conditions under incubator
8
FUTURE AIM Study more about igem project Start thinking about how to begin the project for igem THANK YOU
