Water is the most important substance in our body,which makes up two thirds of our body mass. water is very important!

*functions 1.dissolving chemicals &digestion Chemicals dissolve in water to form solutions,where chemical reactions take place. 2.Metabolism Water help with metabolism in our body. The exchange of substance&the chemical reactions take place in water. Lack of water can lead to abnormity of metabolism.

3.Transportation Water plays a big role in transporting nutrients,gases,and wastes in our body. 4.modulation&restriction Water keeps our body temperature from being too high. Also water can modulate the strain of muscles,maintain the pressure in our body and balance the pH. *functions

5.Lubrication Water can lubricate our joints and reduce the friction in our organs. Water keeps cells saturate and it makes our skin &muscles smooth. 6.Dilution&excretion Excretion needs water. When kidney excreting water,things like toxin dissolves in water so that they can be excreted. *functions

We need small,regular amounts of vitamins and minerals if we are to be healthy. They play important roles in growth&metabolism.

Vitamin C Rich in oranges,lemons and other citrus fruits. We need Vc to repair tissue and to be resistant to disease. Lacking of Vc may lead to bleeding gums(scurvy). Iron Rich in liver,meat,cocoa and eggs. It is used in formation of haemoglobin in red blood cells for transport of oxygen. Lacking of iron may lead to tiredness and anaemia.

Vitamin D Rich in fish oil,milk,butter.Also made by skin in the sun. We need Vd to strengthen bones and teeth. Lacking of Vd may lead to soft bones,legs bow outwards(rickets). Calcium Rich in milk,fish and green vegetables. We need Ca to strengthen bones and teeth. Lacking of Ca may lead to weak,rickets,and cramps. Vd helps with the absorption of Ca

Vitamin E *antioxidant Help with reproduction and blood circulation. Rich in vegetables,nuts and eggs. Vitamin K Help with blood clotting and the growth of bones. Rich in vegetables. Vitamin B There are vitamin B1,vitamin B6,vitamin B9,vitamin B12…(over 12) Help with metabolism. Rich in meat,milk,beans and carrots.
