1 Tool kit directions 1.Get a file folder. You may want to color code according to level or interest or reading group. 2.Have students fill out name puzzle and put on the front 3.Glue in one hand, one character, one personal dictionary and one vocabulary list. They should use these as thought starters while doing their work on separate paper, to be kept in the folder. (Great source of data.) 4.Glue in two envelopes. Mark one new and one done. They can house their reading bookmarks in here. 5.Glue the reading log on the back. 6.This is a great independent reading resource that shows progress, helps students read with purpose while providing strategies for comprehension.
