3. 1. The church of Jesus Christ is empowered by the Holy Spirit  Acts 1 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

4. 2. The church is given a mission to the world  Acts 1 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The first church has 12 apostles to position themselves as True Israel—the representatives of the kingdom of God as prophesied by Daniel  Acts 1 21 Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time … For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

37. 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.  Life characterized by praise.  Not ashamed to give God the glory

39. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  Daily numerical growth – season of growth

40.  God does not work on us alone – but in wonderful Christian fellowship!
