Goal 4 – Antimicrobial Resistance First meeting March 30-31 in Berlin explorative Representatives from Denmark, Estonia and Belarus would be most welcome to the TG Issues for discussion before and during next meeting proposed Next meeting in Russia (Moscow) in mid-September Efforts to secure funding for first projects have commenced – mapping drug-specific resistance Conclusion : Op targets 4.1 and 4.2 within reach

Goal 5 - Primary Health Care EUBSR Flagship project ImPrim restructured New Swedish Lead Partner Op target 5.1 addressed in several documents Op target 5.2 addressed (among others) through - improvement of financial provisions for PHC - enhancement of professional development in PHC - increased use of recognised quality indicators

Goal 5 - Primary Health Care PPHS EG to set up fact-finding project: future role of local (district, rayon) hospitals as inter- face between elderly care, PHC, specialist hospitals First result to be a thematic report, related to op t 5.1; a second step possibly a policy project Unfinished project on future roles of PHC professionals in the face of changing society health needs, relevant to op t 5.1 and 5.2, to be finalised

Goal 6 – Prison Health Several projects in their final phases; links to current op targets not always evident Project on young offenders in Russia, linked to op t 6.3, in a final preparatory phase PPHS EG ITA responsible for PH workshop during EU HIV conference in Tallinn in late May – op t 6.3 Project proposal, in collaboration with UNODC Moscow, on female prisoners being elaborated, linked to op t 6.2

Goal 6 – Prison health PPHS EG ITA for Prison Health invited to participate in WHO Euro Expert Group A tribute to Norway as former PH EG Lead Partner Dr Lykke-Olesen as Chair of former PH EG Dr Tsereteli as long-standing ITA of former PH EG

Goal 6 – Prison health Revision of operational targets (1) There is a need to consider the revision of – in particular – op targets 6.1 and 6.2 A revision could be temporal, extending reporting time from 2011 to 2012, and/or related to the substance of the targets

Goal 6 – Prison health Revision of goals and operational targets (2) Migrant health to be considered for inclusion; migrants at times subjected to conditions in between those of inmates and free citizens health care for migrants an issue with potentially major synergies between Primary Health Care and Prison Health strong support expressed jointly by WHO and IOM
