19 Main Features These are facts about the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Blue Ridge Mountains have old rounded mountains. It is east of the Piedmont region which we live in. Also the Blue Ridge Mountain region is the longest but skinniest region in Virginia. On a nice and sunny day the mountains look blue but it’s really not.
