Your Development Goal A development goal is a course of action designed to help you create or improve a skillset, increase your job knowledge or advance your education level. Using the Drop-Down arrow on your Home Page select Development access your Development Goals. 2. The page will open up to the plan you were working with the last time you visited the section. The fist step is always to check the open plan and change it if needed. To change the plan use the Drop-Down arrow in the ‘Switch Plan’ box. Development Goals can be created in two ways; 1) in the Development tab or 2) in your PMF form at the end of a cycle for the next review cycle. Goals created in the form do not automatically upload to the Development Goals Tab. However, goals created in the tab do automatically upload to the form. 4. Type a description of your goal. 5. Enter the ‘Start Date’ and ‘Due Date’ for your goal. The due date is the date you should complete this goal. 6. Skip the ‘Status’ box if this is a goal you have not worked on yet, update the status if it is. 7. Select the purpose of the goal related to your employment with the hospital: Current Role, Future Role or General Skillset. 8. Click on the ‘Add Learning Activity’ button to enter learning activities related to the goal.
