2 W HAT IS CHILD SAFETY ? Child safety is essentially the care and supervision of a child, from new born to age of thirteen. It is our responsibility, as parents and teachers, to protect the children by teaching them to be smart, strong, and safe. 3 W HAT IS ANAPHYLAXIS ? Anaphylaxis is defined by a number of signs and symptoms, alone or in combination, which is occur within minutes, or up to a few hours, after exposure to a provoking agent. It can be mild, moderate to severe, or severe. Most cases are mild but any anaphylaxis has the potential to become life-threatening.

4 S YMPTOMS OF ANAPHYLAXIS … Itchy rashes Low blood pressure Throat swelling Skin change Respiratory- wheezing and shortness of breath

6 H OW IS IT HELPFUL ? Prevent a reaction Recognize signs and symptoms of a reaction Proper ways of using an epipen Give epinephrine Follow an emergency plan

7 H ELPFUL RESOURCE OF PARENTS AND KIDS … School: By encouraging parents and kids to acknowledge about the child safety and allergy. Also by providing the allergy list, posters and guide lines will make the parents and children awareness of allergy. It is very important to make sure the child has a epipen band on their hand. Always have epipen with you and If anything emergency happen call 911.

8 H OW TO USE EPIPEN ?

9 P LAY GROUND SAFETY Playground related injuries are predictable and preventable whether they take place at a public park, schoolyard, or residential home. Playground activities should be closely Supervised by an adult. Playground Safety Tips: Children should only use playground equipment appropriate to their age. Children should be taught to play safely. No pushing, shoving, tripping, etc. Pay attention on children while they play which is clothing that could catch on equipment and be a choking hazard.
