LDAAT Partnership responsible for delivering National Drugs strategy in Lancashire Partnership includes public, private and voluntary sector agencies working to reduce harm caused by susbtance misuse Partners include Police, Probation, LA and Health authorities

LDAAT Responsible for –Commissioning substance misuse services –Monitoring performance against national and local targets –Delivering the National Drug Strategy –Promoting awareness of help and advice –Support the recovery agenda –Keeping stakeholders engaged and fully informed LDAAT works with local partners and the voluntary sector to develop drug and alcohol services that let people re-build their lives in their own communities

North Lancs Treatment System Adult Substance Misuse service: J2R Criminal Justice service: Addaction Young Peoples services: Young Addaction Prison Drug Treatment: CARATs – Lifeline, IDTS – Delphi The future…… An increased focus on outcomes, a changing scene of substance misuse and possible further developments in the treatment system

North Lancs Treatment System Journey to Recovery – a partnership between DISC and Delphi Medical Tier 2 and 3 substance misuse (drug and alcohol) treatment service – all drugs inc OTC. –Brief interventions –Harm reduction services –Psychosocial interventions –Prescribing –Community detox –Ref to inpatient detox/rehab –Training, volunteers, peer mentors, recovery orientation Services delivered across all 3 districts – via bases in Morecambe, Lancaster, Fleetwood and St Annes, plus shared care and other community venues as available/appropriate www.j2r.co.uk

North Lancs Treatment System Addaction: Criminal Justice service Previously just drug focussed now increasingly substance misuse Interventions include: –Arrest Referral –Court referral –Conditional Cautions –Required Assessments –Drug Rehabilitation Requirements –Alcohol Treatment Requirements –PPO / Targeted offender work –Prison link Full range of treatment interventions across tiers 2 and 3 including brief interventions, pyschosocial interventions and community prescribing Based across all 3 districts – sharing bases with J2R

North Lancs Treatment System Young Peoples services: Young Addaction Delivery across tiers 2 and 3 including full range of treatment interventions; brief interventions, psychosocial interventions and community prescribing Training Direct links into schools via Tier 2 post – support, training, onward referral. Links to CAMHs etc Services delivered across all 3 districts – main office in Morecambe, via community venues as available/appropriate in Lancaster, Fleetwood and St Annes

North Lancs Treatment System Prison Drug Treatment: Psychosocial interventions: CARATs – Lifeline, Clinical interventions: IDTS – Delphi Medical Based in YOI Lancaster Farms and HMP Kirkham Full range of treatment interventions including alcohol provision and resettlement. Links with the wider prison establishments eg healthcare and security Currently undergoing provisional modernisation by full integration into a seemless substance misuse team Further changes in the pipeline due to national requirements
