Ohio Pharmacy Technician Law/Rules Effective April 8, 2009: A “qualified” pharmacy technician means a person who pharmacy technician means a person who is under the supervision of a pharmacist and to is under the supervision of a pharmacist and to whom all the following apply: whom all the following apply: Be at least 18 years of age Possess a high school diploma Pass a criminal records check Pass a competency exam approved by the OHBOP

National Healthcareer Association National Healthcareer Association Examination for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (EXCPT) ExCPT Examination contains 110 questions in three job function areas. 100 questions are graded. Two hour exam. Requirements: High school diploma or GED No felony conviction, or crime related to controlled substances Examination fee: $105
