Henry V (1386-1422) Well educated, brilliant general, military experiences Laid claim to the French throne In 1415 set sail for France, capturing Harfleur Marriage with Katherine, daughter of Charles VI Interest in liturgical music Died of dysentery

Henry VI (1421-14471) Only child of Henry V Reigns: 1422-1462 & 1470-1471 Disputed King of France 1422-1453 Described as peaceful and pious, not suited for the dynastic wars Wars of the Roses commenced during his reign Marriage with Margaret of Anjou Was imprisoned murdered in the Tower of London

Edward V (1470-1483) Came to the throne at the age of 12 He was never crowned a king His 83-day reign was dominated by the influence of his uncle and Richard III Edward and his younger brother Richard were the Princes in the Tower, who disappeared after being sent to the Tower of London
