OrigamiProject 8y1 Logo Competition Finalists

O The Finalists for the logo competition are: O Milo Clark O Chloe Adlington Well done to everyone that entered. Sorry to the people that didn’t get through to the finals. I chose the winners because of the designs. The designs all fit the design specifications. The winners were judged on creativity, originality and individuality.

A quick run through of the rules. 1- The logo must fit the banner at the top of this page 2- The logo must be catchy, colourful, and appropriate 3- You can sample only 1 picture from the internet, the rest of the design must be yours 4- The logo must feature the words 8y1 Origami Project somewhere on it 5- Try and attach the file as a picture file. If you can't, give me a Powerpoint slide of the completed logo. 6- Be Creative

MILO CLARK

My Thoughts The First design is by Milo Clark. He made the design using Microsoft PowerPoint, which was the easiest option. Milo used PowerPoint to a very high level, filling the design with different gradients of colour. Milo did really well making this and I am really happy with his design.

1- The logo must fit the banner at the top of this page This is the banner. I am sure it will fit well.

2- The logo must be catchy, colourful, and appropriate Milo’s design is colourful, catchy and appropriate. Milo used a colour mixing tool to achieve this effect. Well done!

3- You can sample only 1 picture from the internet, the rest of the design must be yours Milo did not use any pictures from the internet. A very original design!

4- The logo must feature the words 8y1 Origami Project somewhere on it O Milo’s design does not have the words 8y1 Origami Project on it, but does have the word origami- which is good. He used 1/3 words for this rule.

5- Try and attach the file as a picture file. If you can't, give me a PowerPoint slide of the completed logo. O I have already checked this, and I have converted Milo’s design into a picture file. ☺

6- Be creative Milo was really creative with his design and he used a range of tools on PowerPoint which is good for his graphic design skills.

So… O Overall, a really good design. Well done Milo!

My Thoughts The second design is by Chloe Adlington. I think Chloe used Microsoft PowerPoint whilst making this logo. Chloe has made a really good design and I really like it. ☺

2- The logo must be catchy, colourful, and appropriate Chloe’s design is colourful, catchy and appropriate. Chloe used a really nice piece of modular origami for the background of the design.

3- You can sample only 1 picture from the internet, the rest of the design must be yours Chloe used 1 picture from the internet. She used a nice picture of some modular origami- I believe the model is called the Kusudama Venus

6- Be creative Chloe was quite creative with her design. I could of asked for a bit of her own design, but overall I think her design is quite nice.

Your Vote Counts O If you go onto the homepage of the website- you will find the poll which was created for you to vote who you want to win. You can click on either Milo Clark or Chloe Adlington. The person with the most votes wins. The voting closes at Period 1 on Friday 4 th July. I will announce the winners at 9:20am in the Fridays Lesson. If there is a draw either me o sir will vote for 1 person and that person will win.

The Prize!! O The winner will receive a handmade origami model from the website store or an Origami Prize Bag!. The contents of the bag will be a surprise.
