1 Classroom Observation Form Teaching Strategies Grade: Number of Students in the lesson Lesson Objective What did the teacher do to get the information to the students Did the teacher ask questions during the lesson If so were all children asked a question? if not how did the questions get distributed Was any technology used ? What was used? Was it effective ? Did the teacher model the lesson and/or give examples? Did the teacher work activities or problems for the students? Did the teacher allow for in class practice? Where these checked in some fashion? Did the students get to know how they performed ? How did the class end? Was homework assigned ? Did you see learning take place in at least 80% of the students? Did the teacher have to send anyone out of the room? Did the general flow of the class seem orderly? Was the class interrupted by announcements or visitors? Was the audience told they could bring up items at the end of the meeting ? Did anyone bring an issue to the board ? Did the board go into executive session following the regular meeting ?
