Who favored the Virginia Plan and why? The Large States like Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York The Virginia Plan created a Legislative Branch ( Congress) that was based on Population. That would allow the large states to run the Country

That meant that all states would equal regardless of size They Compromised “ The Great Compromise “ House of Representatives is based on Population and the Senate has equal representation

7. Separation of Powers The powers of our Federal Government is divided among three branches 1. Executive 2. Legislative 3. Judicial This prevents one branch from having too much power.

11. What is Judicial Review ( Really Important) Judicial Review- The power of the Supreme Court to rule laws passed by Congress and the President to be Unconstitutional. That means the law is no longer a law. This is part of the concept of Checks and Balances. The case was called Marbury v. Madison
