1
Greenline Energy Ltd. Environmentally friendly company incorporated in Australia to fund development of alternative energy projects. Future listing on an Australian Stock Exchange.
2
Background Greenline was incorporated in 2008 and began identifying and researching pyrolysis technology Commenced pyrolysis operations in Thailand at Chonburi in 2010 Successfully produced fuel from reclaimed landfill waste plastics Has sold the fuel and also used it to produce electricity
3
Thailand Gen 1 & 2 plants centrally located at Chonburi to prove concept Opened factory at Phayao to centralize plastic collection Opened factory at Chiang Kham to facilitate manufacture and engineering activities Several depots to assist plastic collections
4
First Generation Pyrolysis Plant (2010 – 2011) Initial plant of Chinese design 10,000 kg per day capacity Produced and sold fuel Plant reliability issues Fuel quality issues
5
Second Generation Pyrolysis Plant (2012 – 2013) Designed and built in Thailand, installation completed Jan 2013 5,000 kg per day capacity Improved fuel quality and plant reliability Produced and sold fuel from reclaimed landfill plastics Company encountered high costs of plastic being transported to Chonburi Relocated to North of Thailand in 2014 to facilitate access to landfills and control plastic price.
6
Third Generation Pyrolysis Plant (2015) Company commenced developing its own pyrolysis plants during 2015 downturn when oil prices were falling substantially. Plant costs reduced by up to 75% Opened Factory in Chiang Kham in North of Thailand Built own pyrolysis plant at significant cost saving. Plants are scalable – up to 50 tonnes per day targeted. Cost savings make pyrolysis commercially feasible Company jointly owns intellectual property. Third Gen plant incorporates many improvements over Gen 2 including pre-heating of plastics and continuous feed.
7
Greenline Business Structure 3 Main Divisions : – Waste Mgt – Engineering – Pyrolysis
8
Waste Management Agreements to manage 3 Govt. landfills. Targeting 4 more landfills over the next 3 years. Govt. provides all funding Greenline manufactures and sells Landfill equipment to Govt. Landfills reduce cost of waste plastic feedstock to approx. 2 baht per kg. Landfills are approximately 15% waste plastic by volume and take 40 to 60 tonnes of waste per day
9
Waste Plastic feedstock
10
Engineering Greenline manufactures its own pyrolysis plants at significant cost saving Greenline manufactures own landfill equipment and sells to Govt.
11
Pyrolysis Targets 6 Pyrolysis plants within 3 years Each plant to produce 8,000 litres of fuel per day Total annual fuel production target of 14.2M litres by end 2019
12
Greenline Pyrolysis Plant 10,000 kg plant produces approx. 8,000 litres of fuel per day. Plant costs substantially reduced. Operating 27 days per month 12 months per year each plant potentially produces 2.5M litres of fuel per annum representing substantial potential gross operating profits. Operating profits potentially equate to approx. $0.25 per kg of plastic.
13
The Pyrolysis Process Cleaned, dried, shredded waste plastic
14
Fuel uses Greenline has already used its own fuel to power diesel generators and forklifts and to produce electricity at Chonburi. Once refined fuel can be used in more sophisticated internal combustion engines. Greenline is already progressed with its R&D to refine its own fuel to enhance quality and profits. Ultimate target is to power commercial generators to produce electricity on a large scale.
15
Outcomes Outcomes by end 2019 (ie. within 3.5 years of IPO) – Fuel production of 14.2M litres per annum(55,000 litres per day) from 6 pyrolysis plants – 12.6M tonnes of reclaimed waste plastic per annum from 7 landfills) – 2.1M tonnes of recycled waste plastics per annum from households
16
Electricity Production Sale of electricity increases profits by approx. 35% Better business model as only one customer, all revenue paid electronically, govt. backed. Greenline has produced and used electricity in Chonburi
17
Benefits to community
18
The Future IPO 6 pyrolysis plants by end 2019 7 landfills by end 2019 Progress R & D on refining activities to improve fuel quality Generate electricity and sell into Thailand Grid Expand into Vietnam and Cambodia
