4 When you see me, I want you to see… - a fashion diva - an independent person -someone who has a wicked sense of humor -someone who loves Las Vegas -Kathee

5 When you see me, I want you to see… -a marathon runner and athlete -an Olympic torch runner in Utah & Korea - a student and part-time worker - an artist - Andy

6 When you see me, I want you to see… - that I don’t give up -that I’m happy all the time - that I am a college student - that I have a job in Student Government -Lindsey

7 When you see me, I want you to see… -a Drama Queen -someone who loves her dog -someone who volunteers -ME and NOT my disability -Bella

8 When you see me, I want you to see… - an artist - that I’m always happy - someone who likes James Taylor - someone who works hard on his communication device -Tony

9 When you see me, I want you to see… - a snowboarder, a golfer, a tennis player - a person that loves music - a traveler - a great storyteller -Mikhail

10 When you see me, I want you to see… - a college student -President of SCC’s Disability Awareness Society - an advocate for people with disabilities -a college employee -Todd

11 When you see me, I want you to see… - a soccer lover -someone who likes hot chocolate - a Harry Potter fan -a college student -Richard

12 When you see me, I want you to see… - an independent person - a responsible employee - I believe in my future - WHO I AM -Nora

13 When you see me, I want you to see… - a spiritual person - a motivated person - a life long learner - a family person -April

14 When you see me, I want you to see… - a singer and music lover - a traveler - a person who likes t.v. talk shows - a family person -Jenny

15 When you see me, I want you to see… - a 4 th grade volunteer - a gardener -a loyal friend - a writer and music lover -Lisa

16 When you see me, I want you to see… - a capable person - a juggler -a committed student - a paid employee and volunteer -Tiva

17 When you see me, I want you to: -speak to me and treat me like an adult -talk to me, not my interpreter, care-giver, friend etc. - if I am deaf or hard of hearing face me, I might read lips - if am blind or have visual impairment inform me of environmental changes - ask me before you move, touch or sit in my wheelchair

18 When you see me, I want you to: - ask before you touch my service animal - know that I understand even if I can’t vocalize -know I can tell when you pretend to understand me -be patient and let me finish my thoughts -ask me to spell or say in a different way if you don’t understand

19 When you see me, I want you to: -ask me yes or no questions in an emergency - in an emergency stay with me while someone gets help -remember joy sticks move power chairs (don’t push) - in an evacuation help move me to safety

20 When you see me, I want you to see a… sister/brother aunt/uncle neighbor cousin co-worker friend classmate community member valued citizen!
