When you see me, I want you to: -speak to me and treat me like an adult -talk to me, not my interpreter, care-giver, friend etc. - if I am deaf or hard of hearing face me, I might read lips - if am blind or have visual impairment inform me of environmental changes - ask me before you move, touch or sit in my wheelchair

18. When you see me, I want you to: - ask before you touch my service animal - know that I understand even if I can’t vocalize -know I can tell when you pretend to understand me -be patient and let me finish my thoughts -ask me to spell or say in a different way if you don’t understand

19. When you see me, I want you to: -ask me yes or no questions in an emergency - in an emergency stay with me while someone gets help -remember joy sticks move power chairs (don’t push) - in an evacuation help move me to safety

20. When you see me, I want you to see a… sister/brother aunt/uncle neighbor cousin co-worker friend classmate community member valued citizen!
