72 Verbal Communication Strategies Have the patient repeat the information, use the “teach back” method. No more than one or two instructions at a time—and check each time: “Chunks and Checks”. Write it down.

Only 50,000 adults in need of services are currently receiving them. 786,000 Wisconsin adults over age 16 are not in school and are not HS grads.
