15 Script Bud:Virginia, how many people are coming? Virginia:Let me think…Angela, you are bringing how many? Angela:Just Shawn, Paul and Sue. Virginia:OK. That’s four, and Gloria and Kazuo, and I think two of their friends. That’s eight. And then the Swansons and Bill. That’s about 15. I think, including us. Bud:So, let’s see. Probably two hamburgers for everybody, so I’ll make 30 hamburgers. Angela:Dad, that’s too many. People don’t eat that much meat. Virginia:All right, then let’s say 15. Bud:And let’s have chips. What do we call those Mexican things, Angela? Angela:You mean, “tortilla chips”? Bud:Yeah, yeah. I love those. Especially with lots of that…hot sauce.Uh, what do you call that stuff, Angela? Angela:Are you talking about salsa?

16 Bud:Yeah, yeah, salsa. So let’s get about, what, six bags of those tortilla chips? Angela:Dad, it’s pronounced, “tortilla” and I think that’s too much. Virginia:Yes, let’s say three bags and one jar of salsa. That’s enough. Bud:Virginia, there are fifteen people coming. That’s not enough salsa. I can eat one jar all by myself. Virginia:Ok, two jars of salsa. Bud:And what else? Drinks? A couple cases of beer? Angela:That’s way too much. People don’t drink that much beer. How about a case of beer and two cases of soda, too. Virginia:Yeah, dear, I think that’d be much better. Angela:Oh, how about dessert? Bud:Dessert? Well, what do you think? Watermelon? Ice cream? Angela:Ice cream. Virginia:Ok, I’ll get one carton of that really good ice cream.

17 Angela:Mom, that’s not enough. We need at least three different flavors. Virginia:All right, let’s get one carton of chocolate, one of vanilla, and one of--- Angela:Almond fudge crunch. Bud:Ooh, yeah!
