3. The Origin of Ice Cream  People started eating ice cream 1,000 years ago in China.  The Chinese mixed rice and milk and put it in the snow to freeze.  Only rich people could buy ice cream because milk was very expensive.

4.  The Italians were the next people to eat ice cream.  Only rich people could eat it because they had the money to buy ice to keep it frozen.  In the 1600 ’ s ice cream was cheaper and more people bought it.  Different flavors were created and it became very popular all over the world.

How is it made?  Two of the lemons are taken and grated on a thin grater  All of the lemons are juiced  The juice and the grated lemons are put in a bowl  The sugar is added  All the ingredients are mixed together  The whip cream is gradually added  The paste is put in the freezer  Before serving, the ice cream is decorated with mint leaves
