Any Network needs a communication infrastructures to exist. in other words, devices in the network should be able to talk to each other. A basic Home network infrastructure contend. 1C- Clients, Server and other Network Resources - The client is any device you use to get access to resources. 2C- Router - Route Communication Between your Home Network and the word Network. - Manage your home network Communication Router has a built in DHCP Server* whose function is to provide Network devices with: IP Address* DNS Server Address* And More - Serve as central communication point between your network Devices 3C- Modem Provided by your ISP* to connect your Home Network to the Word Network 4C- Network Switch Help extend your Wired network by providing extra connection point. In Modern Home Network, Router, Modem, Network Switch Functions are built in a single device provided by your ISP. My recommendation is to have your own Home Wi-Fi Router that will provide a lot of flexibility on managing your Home network and an extra layer of security.
