We cannot thank Coach Chuck Runyan and NASA South enough for all that they have done for our daughter Kelsi in regards to making her the NCAA Division I volleyball player she has become, as well as his assistance and endless hard work during her recruitment period. Coach Runyan spent many hours helping with skills videos, sending emails and video attachments, fielding emails, and acting as a go between to Kelsi and the various colleges which were recruiting her. He helped arrange unofficial campus visits, and was always there to talk to college coaches after a match, regardless how much he had on his plate. A Division I coach told my wife Judi and I when we had taken our daughter to a Summer Camp in Mobile, that she loved dealing with Coach Runyan and has rarely dealt with any Club Coach that was as responsive as he was and as available to answer questions she had. We, as well as our daughter would gladly recommend NASA South and it’s Director Chuck Runyan, to any family that has a player that is hoping for an opportunity to play at the next level. While it is a lot of hard work for the player, their family, and the Club Director, the end result can be very rewarding! I would also recommend NASA South to any family that may not know if their daughter has the ability to play in college, but are just simply looking for a quality volleyball club that is fairly priced. -John Hobbs

NASA South Volleyball is an excellent program! Chuck Runyan is the best Coach we had during all of our volleyball experiences so far. He helped our daughter get recruited to University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she will begin playing this fall. If you want your daughter to go to the next level of playing, this is the place to be, and Chuck is the leader to help her get there. We love NASA South and all of the Coaches/Leaders with the program. -Jessica Boyd

The best move we ever made was going with NASA South and Coach Chuck Runyan for club volleyball. Our daughter was asked to be on other clubs and she didn’t even try out for them. We were a part of the first ever year of NASA South and the club did a great job finding girls that mesh and push one another to be better. Our daughter has told us that she became a better player and wished NASA South was around earlier. She did say at times Coach Runyan was very hard but the results were worth it. He worked on fundamentals along with other ways to play the game. Our daughter learned how to play against teams that are scrappy to teams that were taller. The part I liked the most was Coach Runyan taught the mental side of the game. Every girl on our team, except one, was recruited and signed with colleges from Division 1 all the way down to NAIA. Coach Runyan was very involved from helping us write up a recruiting sheet and made sure our list of schools were emailed with schedule of tournaments all the way down to match times. Coach Runyan wants what your daughter wants and he will do his best to make it happen. -Dan Sudd

We highly recommend the NASA South program to any athlete aspiring to play volleyball at the next level. Coach Runyan works diligently to help the NASA South girls that want to play college ball find opportunities to connect with and get seen by recruiters. He proactively contacted coaches on Sam's behalf, advised her in the recruiting process and helped her make a skills video to send to the various college coaches she invited to each tournament. When we realized that NASA South would not be able to field a team in the post season to send to AAU Nationals, Coach Runyan selflessly referred Sam to Alliance in Franklin, TN which gave her the chance to play at AAU's and ultimately get noticed by IUPUI's coaches. We are confident that Sam would not have developed into the player she has become without the coaching, encouragement and relationships she received through the NASA South program. -Anne Sheets
