Conclusion Domestic violence should not be overlooked or ignored it should be treated for what it really is, an epidemic problem that affects a large number of female world population. We must educate and reeducate the human race by encouraging healthy relationships, necessary treatments to reduce and prevent further abuses and respect. We cannot subdue to this pandemic. If anyone can hand out these necklaces, it’s a token to my appreciation for being a part of this very important presentation, they are inscribed with the words, "If it is to be, it is up to me." The phrase, which was used often in his first gubernatorial campaign, is meant to signify every Mainer has a role to play in fighting domestic violence. I would also like a volunteer, who can read the short poem attached to the back of the necklace? It’s really short and powerful. Come on who dares to start acting now against this plague! Looks like we have a volunteer, step right up! I encourage everyone to think over the message this poem has to deliver.
