Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead-in Show two kinds of pictures to Ss, one is about the Black’s life today, the other is about the life 100 years’ ago. By comparison and asking questions, inspire Ss to know how their life becomes so greatly.

Step2 Reading Fast reading (listen to the tape) Read for the first time, let the Ss get the general understanding of the part. (Ss can do T or F questions to check if they have finished the task.)
