Panel Physician are trusted partners. They provide Immigration Medical Examinations for applicants applying for a visa for a stay of more than 6 months to come to New Zealand. As a trusted partner, Immigration NZ (INZ) will only accept medical examinations from Panel Physicians. Panel Physicians should be familiar with conducting Immigration Medicals meaning the Panel is kept at a level to ensure physicians are regularly completing Immigration Medicals. Panel Physicians complete and grade the Immigration Medicals, however INZ assess if the client has an acceptable standard of health. WHY DO WE HAVE PANEL PHYSICIANS/DOCTORS

THE PACIFIC PANEL PHYSICIAN NETWORK Changes to the Network April 2015 – INZ and with Australia’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection aligned their Panel Physician Networks in the Pacific. INZ takes over management of the Pacific Panel Physician Network. This means INZ is the contact point for any Panel Physician issues regarding New Zealand or Australia medical examinations. INZ is responsible for auditing, training, adding and removing clinics and physicians from the Panel Physician network in the Pacific. INZ currently maintains more Panel Physicians in the Pacific than Australia, however the goal is to align the network. INZ is responsible for the roll out of eMedical to the Pacific.
