Building Information Model/Modeling (BIM) A BIM is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility (NBIMS – National BIM Standards, 2008) Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a new approach to design, construction, and facility management in which a digital representation of the building process is used to facilitate the exchange and interoperability of information in digital format (Eastman, C. et al. 2008)
