MEN has worked over the last two years to engage a wide cross-sector partnership strategy from around the area. Enlisted(ing) the support and commitment of: Community Faith-based Municipal Businesses Workforce development agencies Community foundations These groups have pledged to work closely together to support the MEN Initiative. SUSTAINABILITY Treat it as an academic/retention program NOT a club Divide out expenses and have various departments or budgets “sponsor” specific activities Incorporate into a class/course – academic interventions Work with grants and foundation officers to look for solicited AND unsolicited opportunities Use “loaned executive” approach to secure a campus coordinator(s) Move the needle on matriculation/persistence Have public awards and celebrations to showcase student success
