6. The Purpose of Black History Month The purpose of Black History Month is so that we Americans can remember our difficult past. Black History is important to remember so we do not make the same mistakes over again. Black History is important because it is a part of America’s history. It was a hard time for black people and they overcame the struggles.

7. Why Celebrate Black History Month? Celebrating Black History Month honors the historic leaders of the black community. Celebrating Black History Month provides an Opportunity to discuss the best of Black History. Black History Month helps us remember our past. It helps us remember how far we have come as a nation.
