9 9. In what ways were the cities of Sumer different?-politically independent city-state, its own ruler, its own army, its own government.

10 10. How did Sumerians practice religion?- worshipped at temples called ziggurats, practiced polytheism and honored their gods with religious ceremonies.

11 11. What do the religious practices of Sumerians tell us about their values?-they took religion very seriously and valued food and music.
