Michigan Community Revitalization Program (MCRP) MCRP is a replacement program for the Brownfield Tax Credit and the State Historic Tax Credit Programs Program is targeted to Projects located in a Downtown or a Traditional Commercial Center MCRP is designed to fill financing gaps for projects that meet the following criteria: facility, functionally obsolete, blighted, historic resource, or continuous or adjacent to one of the above. MCRP provides the following types of support to projects: grants, other economic assistance, and direct loans, all of which are awarded based on performance.

Homeowner and Emergency Loan Program (HELP) Help intended to provide loan funds for rehabilitation and emergency repair of owner occupied, single family residential units Funds provided through local revolving loan administrators (RLFA’s) and units of local government (UGLG).

Brownfield Tax Increment Financing Act 381 of 1996 Property or building that is contaminated, functionally obsolete, blighted, or historic. MEDC administers non-environmental aspects of redevelopment. DEQ administers environmental aspects of redevelopment.
