3. Callagraph prints required the artist to glue or add materials to a plate to achieve a relief design with texture. The plate is usually coated with a clear finish to preserve the plate through the printing process. Limited prints may be produced for this reason.

9. Reductive Prints are CARVED from wood, linoleum, or more recently a material called Softkut. The design is cut into the flat plate with lines and shapes to create patterns and textures.

11. Single color reductive prints only require one stage of the plate- cut once, print the design with one color, as many times as you wish.
