11. USER COMMUNICATION FT1A PRODUCT LINE-UP This function enables you to control and communicate with external devices such as PCs, Serial Printers and Barcode readers. In order to enable this function, CPU must have an Ethernet port or CPU should be able to support the expansion serial communication Port (RS232/485). - 12-IO CPUs do not support this function -Serial communication port has to be purchased separately

12. MODBUS SERIAL COMMUNICATION SmartAXIS is compliant with Modbus protocol and can be used as either Modbus master or slave. Maximum of 31-slaves can be connected ONE MASTER. - 12-IO CPUs do not support this function - Serial communication ports has to be purchased separately FT1A PRODUCT LINE-UP

13. MODBUS TCP/IP FT1A PRODUCT LINE-UP Modbus TCP protocol can also be used with CPUs with Ethernet ports. They can used as Client (master) or as Server (Slave) to monitor and exchange data. - SmartAXIS Pro/Lite versions can support only 3- servers (slaves) per 1- Master - SmartAXIS Touch can support up to 16- severs (slaves) per 1-Master - 12-IO CPUs do not support this function.

14. SOFTWARE: Automation Organizer FT1A PRODUCT LINE-UP New version of Automation Organizer software (Version 2.00) supports FT1A SmartAXIS. Existing users AO users needs to upgrade to version 2.00. This upgrade is available to download through IDEC website. -WindLDR version 7.0 which supports FC4A, FC5A and SmartAXIS (Pro-Lite) -WindOI-NV2 to support HG1F, HG2G/HG2F, HG3G/HG3F, HG4G/HG4F - WindLDR and WindOI-NV3 which supports SmartAXIS Touch Automation Organizer software Version 2.00 includes:
