To feel safe & confident with assistance. Mother & children shouldn’t have to repeat their story to different workers Mother & children shouldn’t be overwhelmed by professional involvement Appropriate level of support or intervention Is there a need for a Childs Plan? If so, is there a need for a Child Protection Plan Meeting or a Solution Focussed discussion? Are two or more agencies working together to provide a service Mother & children actively involved in Childs Plan

Police Scotland inform the Named Person of recent assaults they attend, and tell parents the Named Person will be informed of this. Named Person can then arrange immediate support for a child Named Person can link with childs mother, offer support & signpost to other services. Named Person can arrange a multi agency meeting to ensure appropriate resources are available. A Child Protection Plan Meeting can be called if there are concerns about a childs safety. Inverness Womens Aid actively support the HPM. They explain their responsibilities & encourage women to share information with the Named Person. The IWA Childrens Worker can be an equal partner in a Childs Plan Within their organisation the IWA Childrens Worker will ensure a childs welfare remains central in work with the mother.
