2 Overlapping factors ‘The prevalence of domestic violence, misuse of alcohol/drugs and parental mental health problems in the lives of the families at the centre of serious case reviews… It is more common for these features to exist in combination than singly’

3 Treatment populations Women make up 25% of the treatment population Just over half of the adults who enter drug treatment are parents. Of the women who are parents, just under half have their children living with them Most women who enter treatment are mothers – 61% have children, and half of those live with their children Two thirds of female drug users in Scotland have experienced abuse Of 426 women on an opiate substitute 90% had experienced domestic abuse

6 POCAR: Parenting our children, addressing risk POCAR WOMEN(2014-15) 81 in total 51 new referrals 30 rolled over from 2014 Of total 47 have successfully completed and 29 remain in treatment Only 3% drop out rate POCAR MEN (2016 YTD) 39 referrals 8 successful completions 10 currently engaged 9 men living with children at time of referral 18 men had children under 2

7 Young Oasis Crèche YTD the crèche has worked with 70 children aged from 7 days On average 80% of children attending crèche have a CP Plan 12 infants and their parent/carer attended BOPpers 4 men and their children attended Stay and Play in Q1 of 2016 Therapy service 20 different children attend therapy each week 44% living in kinship or foster care 52% exposed to domestic violence
