Introduction AUM is the “youngest” University among all participants in TEJ (2012). This report summarizes the gains that AUM has accomplished until this minute with TEJ/TTO and at the same time what it has missed doing to maximize the added value. All tasks/deliverables accomplished by AUM in this project were also summarized.
3
The Gains: Gains were definitely enormous. At all levels; faculty, staff, students, and local society had their own benefits. As we proceed further, our experience will mature more. We can summarize gains achieved until now by the following :
4
Gains: There is a link of its webpage on the University main Website. It was its own website: www.aum.edu.jo/TTO-Tempus/
5
Gains: We implemented our need- analysis survey and had important results regarding our situation. Samples of the results are shown below:
6
Gains: 1.Are there any courses on entrepreneurship to students? 72 % answered YES and 28 % answered NO. If not, do you think it would be useful to offer such courses? 95% answered YES and 5% answered NO. 2. Does your institution have special unit/office/department which supports you in the process of technology transfer? 8 % answered YES and 92 % answered NO.

8
Gains: The TTO /TEJ will function as pre- incubator for any innovative business plans. It will provide the needed logistics and help in establishing links with local enterprises.
9
Gains An official invitation was circulated to all staff and students announcing about the availability of the TTO for any innovative ideas or proposals for business plans
10
Gains The trips we made to Alicante, Porto, and Bologna were very informative to us (AUM staff); we were exposed to new experiences such as incubators, Science Parks, spin-offs, Technology Transfer, IP laws and procedures, and face to face meetings with entrepreneurs and innovators.
11
Gains Students from different backgrounds were taught how to write different business plans and participate in the TEJ student best business plan contest.
12
Gains A list of all local and regional businesses, enterprises, factories was maintained. We are in the process of disseminating information to all concerned parties.
13
GAINS All faculty members who have unregistered patents or IPS are called to contact the TTO. All faculty members who are currently involved in research, specially applied research, are called to contact the TTO.
14
Gains: We are participating in an well- known International conference (Innovation Arabia 9) in Dubai to present our experience with TEJ.

WHAT AUM MISSED Publicizing the TEJ project among faculty was weak and late. We should have held a seminar and invited all concerned staff and faculty members to introduce the project and announce the opening of the TTO with complete description for its aims and objectives.
18
WHAT AUM MISSED Students awareness of the existence of the TTO office and the opportunities it provides for them to help convert their innovative ideas into reality was also not existing. Graduating students who have projects or business plans, specifically, should have been informed and taught about the TEJ project much earlier.
19
WHAT AUM MISSED The connections with the external businesses and industry were also limited. More aggressive plans to introduce the TEJ project to them is needed. We are starting periodic visits to them.
20
WHAT AUM MISSED Workshops on the basics of developing business plans are needed. Faculty members and students need to learn, each on his level, how to build a successful business plan and do not mix it with scientific research proposals.
21
Conclusions We will continue side by side with TEJ partners and under the leadership of the coordinator to get the ultimate degrees of benefit from this project and accomplish all deliverables. AUM is a growing University and the TTO will grow with us and it will take its part as a major unit in the University. Sustainability and continuous enhancement are required
22
Acknowledgement We are grateful for the EU and TEMPUS and we will do our best to achieve the objectives and the expected outcomes of this project. Special gratitude to the Project coordinator Prof. Walid Salameh, all our colleagues and partners, PSUT Administration and Staff for their support and help.
