Computational Science Curriculum This VI is focused on identifying existing computational sciences degree programs and student learning outcomes. The VI will evaluate existing on-line degree programs, on-line computational sciences for-credit courses, and on-line not-for-credit tutorials. The VI will create and deploy high quality on-line computational sciences courses and tutorials that meet the needs of the computational sciences education community. Computing in the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences This VI engages humanists, artists, and social scientists in sustained collaboration with colleagues in computer science, engineering, and high performance computing and communications. The emphasis will be to leverage opportunities for technology transfer among and between the sciences and engineering, on the one hand, and humanities, arts, and social science, on the other. K-12 Education This VI will conduct monthly meetings, and will discuss how to market the opportunity to participate among EPIC participants, K-12 faculty, Students, Parents, Administrators, and professional groups including the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education). MSI Network Research This VI will engage various disciplines and people across the nation in how specific disciplines are utilizing cyberinfrastructure in Research and Development, Education and Learning, Dissemination of scholarly activities, establishing new partnerships, and overall Academic Globalization.
