IV. Perishing Mentality (vs. 19-20) A.Self-pity: “Woe is me. Why me?” “Bad things always happen to me.” 1. So-called hatred of self. “I hate myself.” 2. Suicidal, despairing. “I am doomed. Why should I live?” I Kings 4:19

VI. Be Transformed 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

VI. Be Transformed Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
