Concussions Dylan Steiger’s Protection of Youth Athletes Act Caused by blow or motion to body causing brain to move rapidly in the skull Trained coaches on Concussion Diagnosis Students will be removed from activity is showing any signs or symptoms of concussion. High School Student Athletes will take pretest for concussion during the first week of practice

Concussions Returning to play. No longer exhibits signs or symptoms Evaluated by licensed health care professional who provides written clearance. Impact testing of all athletes. - Helps medical professionals in the evaluation process. (Concussion Post Test) MHSA requires schools districts to provide each family with concussion information. Activity Pledge Form Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco LPS B of T requires student to be passing all but one class and to have a 2.0 GPA. Checked at Mid-Term, Quarter, Semester. Incoming freshman – 8 th grade 4 th Quarter grades. Absent from school – Not allowed practice or play in contests. Medical Release

Participation Fee 50 dollars – One time fee – Activity Pass Free! Has to paid to the office before you can play in first contest. Team Rules Required by individual Coaches Days of Practice Golf – 3, Football, 12 (first 3 non-contact), Volleyball – 10, Cross Country – 10, Soccer – 10.

3 Days of Tryouts are required. Conference with all athletes after tryouts are required.

Players are allowed to ride home with parents with written permission. If a player wants to ride home with someone other than their parents, you need to have written permission by Athletic Director or other administration at least one day in advance.

Student Yearly (non-athlete) 1-12 grage - $35 Adult Yearly - $65 Student Game - $4 Adult Game - $6 Kindergarten and Under - FREE

Why are you playing? What is a successful season? What goals do you have? What do you think your role will be on the team? PARENTS: Do your answers match up with your athlete. BE INVOLVED TO A POINT! It is our time to be a fan, it is our children’s time to play. Support your student/athlete! Don’t set unrealistic expectations for them.
