Good project preparation is a key for the effectiveness of dispersed collaborative engineering teams. Generic PP functionality paves the way for a whole range of other services that enhance the productivity and competitiveness.

e-Engineering enabled by Holonomic and Universal Broker services 09/09/04 5 Technology In the e-Hub, collaborative PP is a managed process that transparently generates a set of comprehensive project plans, in nature and logically ordered. The e-Hub contains a collection of PP models. Each consists of a PP process model, represented with WF models, that incorporates the coordination logic of how project planners negotiate and reach a resolution on one of the aspects that need to be tactically agreed. The WF model controls who has read or write access to which field. Each of the WF models operates on one or more content templates, which is an ordered set of fields with specific meaning.
