8. ICT Vs. Computer Science – We are training our students for an admin/call centre rather than high paid tech jobs – Tech employers do not value these basic level skills. Too much theory – heavy reliance on theory and 2 year exam rather than hands on practical experience. Low adoption rate – Less than 8% of children taking Computer Science as an option across some of the North East (Durham) Teacher CPD – little to zero support for current ICT teaching to migrate to new curriculum. Maths and Physics – Bursary's of £25k to £30k to teach yet places go unfilled in these core STEM subject areas. Computer Science on the curriculum

9. Help change policy – We must have the ability as part of the devolution deal to have more control over the curriculum which matches our real economy and does not stifle creativity and curiosity.
