3  If your CRA was traded on the stock exchange, would its share price be up or down?  Fund Type: Public and Privately held  Fund Profile: marketing, building, investing and leveraging on urban redevelopment projects  Term: up to 40 years  Would it be something that folks would buy in hopes of it increasing in worth?  Would investors be looking for immediate returns, or would they invest for the long haul?  Would it be Blue Chip, Small Cap, Growth?  Are your fund managers performing?  Are the managers getting what they need to add gains?  Are you getting the right prospectus information to make decisions? 3

4 Leveraging is what they are born to do…  Investments with the private sector is their mandate  If the city/county just wants to shuffle money, not statutory CRA mission  Recent Fiscal Impact Study on FRA site says for every dollar, 19 were returned on projects in S. FL 2008-13  P.s. these were recession years!  CRA trust fund amounts add up to over $200 million this year statewide 4

5  Effectively communicating about CRAs to the public, officials, media  Not taking time to tell the story, the history, add context  Data collection, reports  Touting success (it is legal, after all! )  Reinventing your CRA/activities/energy each fiscal year  Grassroots is essential, but leadership is key 5
