2. I am currently pursuing the Masters of Arts in Education degree with a specialization in Early Childhood Education here at Ashford University

3. I have five years of teaching experience. With my master’s degree, I desire to make myself more qualified to own and operate a daycare facility. I would also like to be able to do some online teaching and/or teaching higher education courses.

4. Mastering the CLO’s for this class will benefit me because it will allow me to effectively integrate technology into my daycare curriculum for the educational advancement of not only the students but also for the daycare teachers. Using technology is a large part of life anyway so utilizing it in the workplace/learning environment will allow for greater learner engagement and motivation. Small children can sometimes use electronics and/or technological devices better than adults so using it for their educational advancement is really smart.

5. I like the way the final project is laid out and the expectations seem easy to adhere to. I would prefer to have assignments that allow me to try to be creative rather than just writing multi-page papers. As of right now, I think I may take the role of the educator in this project. Simply because I understand firsthand how much technology benefits and enhances learning. The exciting part of the project is being able to utilize other forms of technology to complete it and being able to express how beneficial technology is to learning. The part that concerns me is if I understand what the purpose of the stations are. Maybe after I read it a few more times and get started I will have a better understanding of their purpose. This project will provide me with the opportunity to identify and add to my repertoire more evidence to support the use of technology for learning. It will also help me to understand how I could possibly get some funds from writing grants or donor recipient ads for technology resources for my daycare facility.
