Cause and Effect ■ Everything that happens has a cause. For example scientists argue that the world was created by a massive explosion of gas and matter. The cause is the explosion of gas and matter. The effect is that the world was created.

Cause and Effect ■ Some people argue that everything is caused or created by something. ■ Some religious people believe that the Big Bang was caused by God and the effect of the Big Bang is that the universe was created.
