PREPOSITIONS Use prepositions in your writing to make connections between words and ideas clearer. PREPOSITIONS—convey information about location, time or direction or provide details. A preposition relates the noun or pronoun following it to another word in the sentence. Over the river and through the woods, to grandmother's house we go.

Prepositions describe the relationship between two nouns or pronouns in time or space. In, on, over, before, from and into are some common prepositions. 1. Put your heading on your paper. 2. COPY THIS ON YOUR PAPER! (YES, ALL OF IT!) 3. Now, turn your paper over to the blank side. 4. Turn it sideways. 5. Practice patience while others finish.
