Activities: Most Frequent* Used the internet or instant messaging to work on an assignment – 45.6% Asked questions in class or contributed to class discussions – 32.0% Used e-mail to communicate with an instructor – 30.9% Worked on a paper or project that required integrating ideas or information from various sources – 28.2% *20% or more reported doing this “Very Often.”

Activities: Most Frequent* Prepared two or more drafts of a paper or assignment before turning it in – 22.4% Received prompt feedback (written or oral) from instructors on your performance – 22.2% Discussed ideas from your reading or classes with others outside of class (students, family members, co-workers, etc.) – 22.0% Worked with other students on projects during class – 20.4% *20% or more reported they had “Never” done this.

Activities: Least Frequent* Participated in a community-based project as a part of a regular course – 65.4% Tutored or taught other students (paid or voluntary) – 63.6% Worked with instructors on activities other than coursework – 56.7% Skipped class – 52.9% *20% or more reported they had “Never” done this.

Activities: Least Frequent* Discussed ideas from your readings or classes with instructors outside of class – 33.8% Come to class without completing readings or assignments – 25.3% Worked with classmates outside of class to prepare class assignments – 20.4% *20% or more reported they had “Never” done this.
