ATP FOAM SYSTEM Engine 438 Ansul / Rockwood Model B2 400 GPM Around The Pump Foam System

Advantages and Limitations LIMITATIONS When the Foam System is used, ALL discharges will flow foam. When the operation is completed, the pump and all hose and piping MUST be thoroughly flushed. When the 750-gallon water tank runs out, the supply line cannot exceed 10 psi incoming pressure. of an Around-The-Pump Foam System ADVANTAGES Higher flows available than the standard 95-125 gpm portable or built-in systems. Very low initial cost. Very low maintenance. Very reliable when maintained properly. Very simple to operate. VERY EASY TO DEPLOY

Foam Tank 30-gallon cell built into the booster tank

Foam Cell - open Note Vent device mounted in lid

FOAMJET attachments Fixed gallonage foam systems require a nozzle matched to the eductor. Because the Rockwood ATP system can flow from zero to 400 gpm, we can calculate the correct engine pressure (EP) and use our standard automatic nozzles. But to increase the quality of the finished foam, we have to use an aerating attachment on the nozzle. The Task Force Tip FOAMJET attachments are designed for use on the Task Force Tip Handline Nozzles. Use our standard Task Force Tip nozzles with the Note – These low-expansion TFT FoamJet attachments provide an expansion rate of up to 6:1, which may not produce an effective blanket for use on polar solvents.

Metering Valve Settings

Additional Water Supply After the booster tank runs out, a supply line must be provided from another apparatus. 1.Use a 2-1/2” or 3” line from another apparatus. 2.Use the driver side 2-1/2” Auxiliary Suction Connection.

Standard Procedures 1.Get water flowing. (Don’t forget FOAMJETS) 2.OPEN Water Bypass Valve 3.OPEN Metering Valve (+/- 2 turns) 4.OPEN Foam Supply Valve Do’s and Don’ts 1.NEVER Open the Water Tank Fill Valve. 2.Always use a 2-1/2” or 3” supply line, into the 2-1/2” Auxiliary Suction. NEVER 5”. 3.Gate down the supply line to 10 psi max. 4.Always operate the nozzle with shutoff all the way OPEN
