Starter In the back of your books put the date and the title: File Types and Tables Using the Internet or your own make a note in your books of what the following file types are:.docx.csv.rtf.txt.xls.pdf Identify and import different file types, for example:.csv,.txt,.rtf

Task 1 Open the worksheet called ‘File Types and Tables Worksheet’ from the VLE. Complete the tasks. Help is provided some of the time. For the rest…you need to figure it out! – RECAP… remember one advantage of a GUI is that they are intuitive you should therefore be able to work out what to do without help.

Task 2 Open a blank Word document. Create a table that looks as close to this as possible (hint: font is Calibri ) :

Task 3 Upload your table to the VLE.

Plenary Complete the sheet you have been given. Be honest! Stick the sheet in your books.
