Retelling Strategies:
1.Take notes of Key Words ⑴ In terms of logic: 5Ws, Time Order, Space Order, Linking words etc. ⑵ In terms of a sentence: Subject & Object (nouns & verbs) 2.Retell the story in your own words. ⑴ Not recite the story. ⑵ Focus on main messages not too many details.

One possible version. Bob is a 14-year-old American boy. He became widely known because of saving a girl in another country. One day, he received a message from Finland. The message wrote: Help! Pain! Help! At first, Bob didn’t pay attention to the . However, since it kept coming, Bob wrote back and found it was from a girl called Jane. Jane was ill and alone in the library. There was no phone around her so she sent out the , asking for help. Bob called the police immediately and then the police in Finland was also informed of the accident. Luckily, the girl was saved timely.

故事原文。 A 14-year-old boy from the USA was described as a hero yesterday after he saved the life of a woman in another country. Bob was a school boy who had much interest in computer. One day, he sent an to a friend on the Internet. Suddenly he received a message saying “Help! Pain! Help”. The message was from Finland, thousands of kilometers away from America. “I didn’t know what I should do,” Bob said to a reporter afterwards. “It was really difficult to tell if the message was real.” So Bob did nothing at first. But the message kept coming. “By then it was easy to see that someone was in trouble,” Bob explained. He replied and discovered that the sender was a student called Jane, who was alone in a university library. She was ill. What was worse, there was no phone around her. Her only way of communicating with the world was by . Bob got in touch with the police immediately. And they realized that the situation was quite serious. They called the police in Finland. Then an ambulance rushed to the library. Luckily, she was still alive and was sent to the hospital quickly. “I’m glad she’s OK,” Bob said. “It’s hard to believe saved her life.”
