Year 3 Savings Explanation You can see that the savings started to dip in November of 2015 District installed a new air conditioner/heater at the Savannah High School fitness room Last winter, we scheduled the heaters in the top floor of Minnie Cline longer so that classrooms would be comfortable when school starts This was an issue when we tried to be more aggressive with our scheduling Schneider Electric did not adjust our savings calculations for the extended equipment run times and the new heater/AC’s additional energy usage
7
Year 4 Contract Option 1 –Maintenance/Email program/Savings Report ●Measurement and Verification with Annual Savings Reporting ●50 Hours of Remote Support ●Includes email program where teachers email Schneider Electric when they have temperature complaints ●40 Hours of On-Site Support/Training ●Last year, the district used 61 hours of remote support and 44 hours of onsite support. $13,000
8
Year 4 Contract Option 2 – Maintenance Only ●16 Hours of Remote Support ●40 Hours of On-Site Support/Training ●No email program $7,000
9
Teacher emails when uncomfortable ●Been a very beneficial program ●Helps find problems as soon as they occur ●Allows maintenance staff to focus on other issues ●Emails explain how heaters and air conditioners work ●Explain why we schedule equipment (for energy savings) so we get support from staff
10
Items Moving Forward ●Minnie Cline – too cold areas ●Some areas of Minnie Cline with older equipment need to be scheduled differently than rest of district ●Train district maintenance staff to become more competent with temperature control systems
