Streamlined WYSIWYG Editor: Discussions Topics/Posts created using same WYSIWYG editing tool found throughout communities Simple MS-Word like formatting tools Easy image and video embed functionality Moderation & Admin Capabilities: Tiered moderation and admin permissions can be assigned to any member Moderation tools built into Discussions platform Easy “Like” rating system

Email Options: Members have the option to receive email alerts for new posts within interested topics Members can also choose to reply directly to a post via email If utilized, their response will seamlessly publish to the Discussions topic in the community Activity Feeds and Points Integration: Member activity captured and displayed on Discussions homepage In Points enabled communities, Discussions actions (e.g. posting a topic) can earn points for members

Question & Answer Discussions: Q&A functionality allows community owners to designate definitive answers to questions posed within the Discussions platform Admins can review questions and provide their own answers or mark accurate user replies as such

Key Features: Members able to find others within communities by using a host of advanced search options Advanced search logic respects user privacy settings and will account for all custom fields Available search options include: - First & Last Name - Email Address - Nickname (screen name) - Twitter username - Gender - Marital Status - City - State/Region - Country - Postal Code - Company Name - Occupation

Key Features: New Drag & Drop and XSLT community page enabled widget Operates under logic to prompt members to partake in common activities that they have yet to do in order to promote community engagement Activities Included: - Upload a profile picture* - Edit profile info* - Add a status update - Join a group - Create a blog - Add a Discussions topic - Reply to a Discussions topic - Request a friend - Invite someone to the community - Upload a photo - Items marked with a * will always appear until completed by the member. Others will display at random.

The User and Social Space Profile ‘Activities Update’ tab will now be one widget. In the past the comments on the User or Social Space wall and the Activities for that User or Social Space were 2 separate widgets on this tab.

Key Features: Complete rewrite of current Points functionality – Points admin screen dramatically streamlined to reduce confusion – Now, all tracked community activities can also garner points – Bonus, recurring, and rating point functionality no longer supported Ability to arbitrarily add bonus points as an admin – Member point totals updated closer to real time (instead of nightly) Points report available to community admins to analyze activity and key contributors – Report includes user point total, title, and last logged in date Clients with Read/Write API access can now inject activities from an external source and assign point values to those activities Members may see their point totals increase as a result of the updates – Release preparation docs on community.theport.com

Custom fields and lists will now also be added directly to the new Advanced Search feature and indexed in SOLR (our search engine) with ease. Each custom field and list now has 3 configuration options available: – Make Required – Include in search – Display on profile * Any changes to current custom fields/lists will be billed on a time and materials basis

User level bulletins have been removed – Redundant with other user level mass communication options, such as private inbox messages and comments, available – Social Object bulletins will remain available for use Social Object creation has been streamlined – User must supply only a name and description upon initial creation – Other options (invite others, edit settings, etc) can be performed later Joining a Group or Event process streamlined for those with auto approve option enabled – When a user clicks “Join Group”, they immediately see a message stating that they have successfully joined

Search engine enhanced to reflect deletions in real-time – 10-15 min delay possible during peak traffic periods Titles of uploaded Documents now searchable – Text within Documents searchable for all file types except.PDF All e-mail notifications have been re-formatted for consistency and cosmetic appeal
