2. David James who is an army Veteran, came into school today.

3. He talked to the children about what Remembrance day means.

4. And they had lots of questions for him.

5. They wanted to know why he had ribbons and metal things on his chest.

6. Mr James explained that they were medals and talked about why he had them and what they mean.

7. We had time to think about all those that died for us and for those fighting today.

8. All the children wore their poppies.

9. The children wanted to know when he joined the army and where.

10. Mr James talked about why we wear poppies and who this helps today.

11. Mrs Wilkins asked if being in the army was like working in a team.

12. My James said that it was, just like the children and their teachers work in a team together.
